Minister of Fisheries Wealth Awad al-Socotri met here on Tuesday with charge d’affaires of the Eritrean embassy in Sana’a Mohammed Hamad.
Both sides discussed the cooperation between Yemen and Eretria in the field of fishery wealth and how to enhance and develop it.
Al-socatri called for creating mechanisms with the aim of organizing traditional fishing and facilitating the work of fishermen.
He also stressed the importance of tackling issues of Yemeni fishermen held by Eretria and the implementation of the Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki’s directives who had directed to take necessary measures to release the fishermen.
For his part, Hamad affirmed the need to develop cooperation between Yemen and Eretria in the fishery field, hailing the historical and friendly relations between the two countries.
