Ethiopian security forces continue massive round-up campaigns against what it called Eritrean escapees from Tigray refugees’ camps.
The campaigns are ceaseless in Addis Ababa and Gondar, the captured Eritreans are forcedly sent to the camps in Tigray which the Ethiopian government says is currently safe and stable.
The campaigns are accompanied by constant calls to refugees to immediately return to the camps and also asking those in the camps not to leave.
Hundreds of Eritrean refugees have already left the camps in Western Tigray to Sudan for fear of abduction by Eritrean soldiers. The UN has expressed deep concern on the situation of the refugees especially with the deteriorating security situation inside the camps after reported Eritrean security agents raids.
