A former Eritrean Airlines manager calls out an attempt by the Eritrean Airlines to provide services with leased aircrafts as unprofitable.

The ex-manager – Mr. Kibrom Dafla, indicates although the airlines had begun its services with an aircraft named ‘Queen Bee’ in 2002, the aircraft had to be discarded after it was sent to Israel to be fixed and found technically unfit to fly.

According to Mr. Dafla, the airlines have been repeatedly forced to stop its services since it began using leased aircrafts from abroad.

Eritrean airlines, at the moment, provides services with a Boing 737 leased from East Air of Tajikistan and Airbus 320 of Yanair – leased from Ukraine a couple of weeks ago.
