Pro-change Eritreans from various parts of Europe held a peaceful demonstration in the Swiss capital of Geneva on Friday the 26th of June in support of the United Nations Commission of Inquiry (COI) findings that the Eritrean government may have committed crimes against humanity.

The demonstrators, who marched to the UN office in Geneva, have also called upon the UN to take swift measures against President Isaias Afwerki and other high government officials who are reported to have committed the crime. They also called for an end to the dictatorial regime in Eritrea.

According to the COI findings, the government of Eritrea was responsible for forcing hundreds of thousands of Eritreans to flee their country, and detailed extrajudicial killings, widespread torture, sexual slavery and enforced child labor; sexual violence against women and girls in the military training camps; and routine and random arrests at whim, detention, torture, killings and wide-spread nationals who went missing.
