The Eritrean army and police are holding massive roundups of youth in Asmara and the surrounding villages. The house-to-house search is continuing for the second week, as sources from Asmara confirm. The families are showing great concern and fear that their children may be forced- after a brief military training- to join the Eritrean Defense Forces which are deploying 8 different divisions in the Northern Ethiopian region.
Reports indicate that the Eritrean troops suffered 2000 thousand injured personnel and soldiers, the injuries vary between light and severe.
