Radio Erena: 14 May 2015
Eritreans in Israel voiced their opposition against the government of Eritrea by protesting in front of the country’s embassy in Tel Aviv on Tuesday the 12th of May.
According to the news confirmed by Radio Erena representative from Tel Aviv, the protesters called for an end to the sole party [People’s Front for Democracy and Justice – PFDJ]-dominated government in Eritrea.
Hundreds of Eritreans and friends of Eritrea have participated in the peaceful demonstration, which was organized by change-seeking Eritreans in the country.
The organizers had previously held a candlelight vigil in memory of the over 300 Eritreans who recently lost their lives in the Mediterranean Sea and were beheaded by ISIS.
The protesters have also raised posters in memory of last month’s victims and called for an end to unjust and undemocratic rule in Eritrea, which has been one of the main causes of high and out of control emigration.
