An Eritrean asylum seeker in Israel killed his fellow Eritrean young woman stoning in the Israeli capital of Tel Aviv on Monday the 28th of September, reported the Jerusalem Post.
The 33-year-old suspect, whose name hasn’t been released yet, was able to kill the 29-year-old young woman in the middle of Tel Aviv despite efforts by many bystanders to stop him.
According to police reports, an altercation was reported between the suspect and the victim at Shelnove Street on Monday morning and that the suspect was seen to have picked up a rock and hit the victim on the head repeatedly until she passed away.
The police report confirmed the identity of both the suspect and the victim as Eritreans.
The Jerusalem post confirmed that the suspect had confessed in court to killing the victim and that the two were in a relationship.
Such reports of crime have been commonly seen among Eritrean asylum seekers in Israel, which have been covered by the country’s news media.
