Dan Connell said how depressing it is to hear Eritrea – the once hope of Africa, as one of the top news makers that produce influx of refugees.

In an interview he gave to Radio Erena , Dan pointed out that Eritrea’s hope after the long popular struggle has been tarnished by the dictatorship that reigned following the victory. Dan said he believes change is imminent in Eritrea.

Dan said that his relationship with the government of Eritrea ended with a ban for re-entry to the country 2001 following his interviews with Asmarino.com

, regarding the government’s crackdown on top government officials and the free press.
