Eritrea and Qatar held talks on transport and communications in the Qatari capital of Doha on 13th of January.
The discussion that centered on the cooperation projects between the two countries was held by the Qatari minister of transportation – Mr. Jasim Seif Ahmed Alsultani and the head of the Eritrean Civil Aviation Authorities – Mr. Paulos Kahsay.
The news was confirmed by the Gulf News although nothing has been said of the details of the discussion.
Radio Erena had previously reported that Qatar Air began flying to-and-from Doha and Asmara in the early December of 2014. It makes direct flights twice a week and that discussions are underway to work out arrangements to combine the airline’s routes to and from Djibouti.
