Tensions in the Sudanese refugee camp of Shegarab are relatively calm as of Christmas morning, confirmed Eritrean refugees from the camp in an interview with Erena Radio.

The refugees noted that the Eritreans who fled the camp to save their lives are now returning back to the camp and most of those taken by police are believed to have been released. However, they added, there are still some remaining refugees who are detained in the town of Kessala.
