The Eritrean diaspora in various countries gather in memory of the second anniversary of the over 360 fellow Eritrean victims who perished in the Mediterranean Sea as they approach the Italian coast of Lampedusa.
The notorious tragedy that took place on the 3rd of October 2013 when their boat capsized after catching fire, consumed the lives of over 360 Eritreans, including babes and toddlers.
This has become continuous occurrence in the case of Eritreans and many say, in order for this to stop, a much demanded change needs to take precedence in the country.
Two years later, the bodies of Lampedusa victims are still found in different morgues in the Italian town of Agrigento and various places around Sicily area and this is due to the disagreement on the circumstances of the return between the Eritrean and Italian.
